On Saturday, October 1 at 5:00 pm at Jacob Butze's Bench at Horseshoe Lake Park in Shaker Heights, Brandt Butze and Jon Leiken will perform Samuel Beckett's masterpiece about life, loss, love and everything, Waiting for Godot, for the benefit of the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.Bring a blanket or a lawn chair, or just stand or sit on the grass, and join us for our outdoor performance of this classic play in memory of Jacob and his spirit of giving. The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland is one of the great engines for good in our community, providing free civil legal services to those most vulnerable among us. We are delighted to support and raise awareness for Legal Aid with our performance on October 1.Jon Leiken and Brandt Butze are graduates of Shaker Heights High School. Jon is an alumnus of the Shaker Heights Theater Arts Department. Brandt has loved theater all his life and took up acting recently. In 2021, Jon and Brandt performed together with community members in a staged reading of Thornton Wilder's Our Town for the benefit of Legal Aid.
