*Casting Call*
For Cleveland State University Thesis Film, "Power”

*Synopsis*
9 months after her assault, Jane attends a therapy session. By opening
up about the long term mental and emotional repercussions this event
has had on her, she learns to face her trauma in order to heal.

****This is a non-union, no-pay, student short film. Meals as well as
copy/credit provided. Shooting is to take place in the Cleveland area.
Actors to be available late January-early/mid February****

*ROLES *
*JANE (Lead): Female, 18+ to play early 20s, any ethnicity. *
- A young woman navigating her trauma. She is stubborn and struggles to be
open about what happened to her. She ultimately wants to be able to heal,
which leads to a slow revelation of her true thoughts and emotions. (Role
involves light intimacy)
*DR.ANDERSON (Supporting Lead): Female, late 30s to mid 50s, any ethnicity.
*
- Jane’s therapist. She’s been doing this for a while, and subsequently is
very levelheaded and patient. She is sensitive to Jane’s past, but also
pushes her to the point of opening up.
*THE MAN WITH NO FACE (Supporting): Male, 18+ to play early 20’s, any
ethnicity. *
- Non-speaking role. Looking for an average to taller build. The
perpetrator of Jane’s trauma. While his face is never seen, he is the main
antagonist. (Role involves light intimacy)
Casting dates:
Friday November 11th 5-8pm
Saturday November 12th 10-2
