[NEohioPAL] NY-bound New Musical Seeks Singer-Actors

“Trollop: The Trials and Titillations of the INfamous ‘Moll Flanders,’” is seeking six (1F, 5M) actor / singers to round out its World Premiere cast. Open to all ages, ethnicities, and gender identities. 

Please submit a video (no longer than 2 minutes) of you performing a number from one classical or contemporary style musical, and one rock musical. Callbacks will consist of readings from the script.

World premiere is January 13-14, 2023, at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield, OH. First read will take place on Zoom at 7pm eastern on November 22. Rehearsals begin January 2 and will take place each evening through the 13th at the Renaissance. 

Performance will be recorded and then sent via the Renaissance to its partner theatre in NYC, for consideration for an Off-Broadway Premiere. 

Pay is currently a $25 gas stipend and two comp tickets, but further stipends are likely. Actors may also participate in a live cast recording and receive a portion of the profits. 

All actors should be over 18, fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and very comfortable with sexual language and stage intimacy. (Comedy / stylized, possible stripping but no nudity.)

Roles we are casting:

-Earnest Loveall, 20s, Tenor. Goofy / dorky. Strong character actor. 

-Spencer Lavisch, 40s or 50s, also plays 70s. Baritone/Bass. Very strong comedy/character actor. 

-Richard “Dickie” Sibley, 20s, also plays 40s. Baritone. Strong patter/rap skills. 

-James “Jemy” Colt, 30s, also plays 40s. Strong rock Tenor. Romantic lead. Dance and combat skills needed. Long hair a plus. 

-Horace Dullman, 40s or 50s. Baritone/Bass. Can play authoritative and sweet equally. 

-Prudence Riordan, 30s+, Mezzo. Strong character actor. 

-We may also hire one male-presenting and one female-presenting swing.
