Audition Announcement for:

Roald Dahl’s Matilda: The Musical

The story of an extraordinary girl who dares to take a stand and change her
own destiny.

Based on the 1988 children's novel of the same name by Roald Dahl. Adapted
by Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin

AUDITIONS

Friday January 6. 2023

AGES 13+   7:00 - 10:00 pm

Sunday January 8, 2023

AGES 8-12   2:00 - 6:00 pm

Performance Dates: April 28 - May 20, 2023

What to Prepare: Bring a resume and headshot.

   -

   A monologue reflecting the character you are auditioning for up to 90
   seconds.
   -

   One verse and one chorus of a song not from the show.
   -

   Dress for a small dance combination and prepare any special dance or
   gymnastic tricks you can do.

Casting Note:

Any race, gender, age, body type, or other identities are encouraged to
audition and will be considered equally in casting.

Aurora Community Theatre is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organisation. All actors
cast are strictly volunteers. No AEA Contract(s) available.
