*MorrisonDance is seeking additional dancers for our 25th anniversary 
productionat the Cleveland Public Theatre, April 20-22, 2023.*

Performers will be paid a project stipend and may be given additional 
opportunities for spring/summer projects. Students will also be 
considered for a performance internship position with a stipend.


We are specifically seeking dancers with a curious and playful spirit, 
versatile movement styles, and strong musicality. In line with 
MorrisonDance’s goal to synthesize a breadth of dance styles, 
auditioning performers may have training/experience in any movement 
genre; however, training in ballet, modern, and/or jazz techniques is 
helpful. Performers must be 18 or older and have prior performance 
experience. New choreography will be heavily rooted in contemporary 
techniques and exploratory improvisational development. Dancers will 
additionally learn choreography selected from the last 25 years of 
MorrisonDance repertory.


The audition will be held on Sunday, January 15 from 1 to 4 PM at the 
MorrisonDance rehearsal studio,5401 Hamilton Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114.

Performers must be 18 or older and have reliable email communication and 
transportation.


Weekly rehearsals will take place Mondays from 4:30-6:30 pm with some 
additional Sundays from 1-3 pm depending on the number of dances in 
which a dancer is cast.


Must be available for evening rehearsals/performances from Sunday, April 
16-Saturday April 22, 2023 at the Cleveland Public Theatre.


MorrisonDanceis a Cleveland-based non-profit performing company directed 
by Sarah Morrison. Our purpose is to inspire and cultivate public 
awareness of the art of dance through performances and 
cross-disciplinary collaborations. To provide, promote, and participate 
in educational and outreach programs that increase the awareness of 
dance and that encourage community cultural and artistic endeavors; to 
research and develop integrated and cross-disciplinary teaching and 
presentation methods for dance; and to create opportunities for artists 
and performers of various media, augmenting the accessibility of dance 
as a performing art.
