AUDITION NOTICE FOR AKRON CIVIC THEATRE’S

MILLENNIAL THEATRE PROJECT



Looking for black/African American actors 18 years of age (must be out of
high school) or older.



Non-Union. Paid. ($150 per week for rehearsals and $100 per performance)

AUDITION LOCATION: Akron Civic Theatre’s Main Stage - 182 S. Main St.,
Akron, OH 44308



AUDITION DATES: Monday, January 23, 2023, from 6:00PM - 800PM



SHOW INFORMATION:

Performances are being scheduled now.  We are planning to do 8 shows.



Rehearsals start week of March 5, 2023 (Saturday Mornings 10 a.m.- 12:00
p.m. and Sunday 2-4 p.m.) (Rehearsals will be March 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th,
19th, 25th, 26th, April 1st, 2nd, 8th and 9th.) Brush up rehearsals will be
scheduled closer to show dates.



WHAT TO PREPARE: 5-minute increments. For your audition you may prepare a
monologue from a contemporary work. Please also be prepared to read
excerpts from the script.
