[NEohioPAL] Fiddle Boot Camp This Summer at TMS

Master fiddler Paul Kirk will be teaching an Old-Time Fiddle Boot Camp at
the Ohio City location of The Music Settlement August 8-10, 2023.

This workshop will focus on the bowings, rhythmic patterns, and bow stroke
needed to produce an authentic, Round Peak old-time fiddle sound. Rare and
obscure Early American tunes, cross tuning, and droning will also be taught
in this fun and educational camp.

The camp will be tailored for experienced violinists and fiddlers from
other musical traditions who want to learn old-time fiddling.

Old-time fiddlers who would like to delve deeper and refine their style
would benefit from this camp as well.
