School of Cleveland Ballet seeks reliable and outgoing dance instructors
for its Community Outreach Program. Part-time position immediately
available in addition to expanding our team for the 2023-2024 school year.
Experience teaching dance (required). Dance Certification and professional
experience (preferred).

Qualifications:  Degree in Dance or Education from accredited University/
College preferred but not necessary, and/or extensive experience in dance
professionally.

Experience preferred:
1. Minimum 3-5 years dance teaching experience.
2. Dance experience to confidently lead a class of varied dance styles and
technical movement.
3. Previous experience teaching school ages K-8.
4. Outgoing personality comfortable instructing young learners with short
attention spans.
5. Some creative choreographic skills required for culminating event.
Knowledge of variety of dance styles.

Class Type: Outreach dance instruction. Between 10 and 25 students.

Location: Varies based on day of week; within public and private schools
surrounding the Cleveland area or School of Cleveland Ballet (Bedford Hts).

Schedule: Varies based on location; generally, late afternoons between
2-6pm, or at school release time.

Compensation: Part-time, no benefits. $50-75 per class.

Things to know:
1. Teacher must have reliable travel to and from teaching location.
2. Ability to utilize appropriate music and playlists.
3. Must complete background check.
