*Master Class Description:*
Based in Bartenieff Fundamentals and Limón technique, artistic director
Sarah Hixon uses an organic approach to movement that can serve dancers of
varied backgrounds. The class will explore dynamic alignment and line while
also emphasizing the natural rhythms of fall and recovery, a conscious use
of breath, musicality, and the interplay between weight and weightlessness.
Improvisatory exercises will allow dancers to connect physically and
creatively as they explore choreographic elements such as space, time, and
energy.
