[NEohioPAL] Bass player available

Hi!

I was on here waaaaay back in the day but life had other things in mind for me.  I'm settled back in NE Ohio and wanted to reach out to the theater and arts scene to see if there was any work for a bassist out there.

I play upright and electric bass, am a fluent reader in 2.5 clefs (tenor will sometimes make me have to think and cuss), and have played a ton of different styles and settings.  I dearly miss playing in the pit, but am also open to other settings.  I've played classic musicals, modern rock musicals, ballets, filled in with the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra for one season, a doo-wop band, a Latin dance band, bluegrass jam sessions, and have been in the Akron and Canton Symphonies for enough years that my tenure would eligible to buy alcohol.

I was in Michigan last year, and had a little nibble of the pit when I got to sub for "Mama Mia" and "Little Shop".  It felt great to be back in the bowels of the stage and I'm hoping that I can find stuff around here.  My schedule is such that it is more likely that I'd be available for subbing rather than entire runs, but it is impossible to tell.  I'm only looking for paid employment and I'm based in the Akron area.
