[Young Filmmakers Academy]

*Young Filmmakers Academy* is like no other program in northeast Ohio.
Created on the principles of creativity, inclusion, diversity and teamwork,
YFA is dedicated to offering a safe, structured environment where aspiring
young artists can learn to express themselves, meet like-minded friends,
have fun and feel comfortable under the guidance of our *OSCAR NOMINATED,
EMMY WINNING* mentors. Through programs like The award-winning *Summer
Filmmaking Camp and The 8 Week Film School* students learn the ins and outs
of
*screenwriting, cinematography, post-production, special effects, set
design and more. *



*8 WEEK FILM SCHOOL*

YFA is currently accepting students for the next session, beginning *April
4*. Students will be recreating the famous Michael Jackson's *THRILLER*
video, complete with special effects makeup!

*ADVANCED SUMMER FILM CAMP*

Now in our sixth year, the three week long workshop is broken into three
segments. *Week One, Screenwriting and Pre-Production. Week 2, Filming and
Acting. Week 3, Editing and Digital Effects. *Whether they fancy themselves
a director, a boom operator, a set designer, actor, etc. the format allows
for the student to dictate how they contribute to the project. The film
will be screened August 18 at a *RED CARPET PREMIERE.* This camp is for
students ages 12-17.

*BEGINNERS SUMMER PROGRAM*

Every journey begins with a first step. This program is geared towards our
younger students (ages 8-11). It's a week-long workshop designed to give
our younger kids a taste of what the advanced workshop is all about.
Students in this age range who have attended previous camps can be
grandfathered into the advanced program if they choose. The students of
this class will also attend the *RED CARPET PREMIERE.* where their project
will screen before the main attraction.  Dates: June 5-9 from 10am-2pm Enroll
