[NEohioPAL] Auditions for August: Osage County

Auditions for *August: Osage County* by Tracy Letts, directed by Rose
Leininger will be Sunday, June 11 from 5:00PM – 7:30PM and Monday, June 12
from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.  Auditions will take place at the Broadview Heights
Spotlights Theater, located next to the Police Station on the Broadview
Center Property, 9543 Broadview Road.

This show requires actors of all ages. Character descriptions are available
at www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org. All roles available. No Equity
contracts available for this production. Those planning to attend should
sign up for an audition slot via the Spotlights' website.  Auditions will
consist of reading selected script passages. Auditioners are welcomed (not
required) to bring a prepared monologue of no more than two minutes in
length. Callbacks will be scheduled as needed. This production runs from
August 18 through September 2, 2023.

When the large Weston family unexpectedly reunites after Dad disappears,
their Oklahoman family homestead explodes in a maelstrom of repressed
truths and unsettling secrets. Mix in Violet, the drugged-up, scathingly
acidic matriarch, and you’ve got a major play that unflinchingly—and
uproariously—exposes the dark side of the Midwestern American family. Those
auditioning should be familiar with the themes and language used in the
show.
