Duncan Macmillan's *PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS
<https://truthofmindfest.twofacesofjane.org>* opens this Thursday, June 22
through Sunday, July 2 for only 9 performances in the intimate Kennedy
Theatre at Playhouse Square. A *New York Times* Critic’s pick with sold-out
runs in both London and New York, *People, Places & Things * is about
survival in the modern world. Emma, a thirty-something actress who is
having the time of her life, suddenly finds herself in rehab. Her first
step is to admit that she has a problem. But the problem isn't with Emma,
it's with everything else. She needs to tell the truth, but she's smart
enough to know that there's really no such thing. When intoxication feels
like the only way to survive the modern world, how can she ever sober up?

This award-winning show by Duncan Macmillan (*1984*, *Lungs*, *Every
Brilliant Thing*) is about addiction, trauma, and family. Directed by Sean
Derry (none too fragile theatre) with Rachel Lee Kolis in the lead role,
the cast includes an incredibly talented group of local and UK actors who
bring the show to life. Produced by the mental health nonprofit, *Two Faces
of Jane <https://twofacesofjane.org>*, this is an advocacy event that
focuses on overcoming the stigma of mental health and addiction, which are
inter-related issues in modern society.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased through the Playhouse Square box office
<https://playhousesquare.org>. Note that the Kennedy Theatre is a small,
intimate, theatre that is accessible only via stairs from inside the
entrance to the Mimi Ohio Theatre Gund Foundation Lobby. Find out more
about who's in the cast and crew at the shows website,
