Film Classics in 35mm!
Meredith Willson’s
THE MUSIC MAN
USA, 1962, Morton DaCosta
One of the greatest and most beloved American musicals ever made! Set in 1912, this high-energy film stars Robert Preston as a smooth-talking, itinerant con man who blows into a small Iowa town posing as a music professor. He says he wants to start a boys’ marching band in the burg, but his real intention is to bilk local citizens out of their hard-earned cash—and then skedaddle. “76 Trombones” and “Till There Was You” are two of many musical highlights. Shirley Jones and “Ronny” Howard co-star. 35mm. 151 min. Special admission $14; members, CIA/CSU I.D. holders, age 25 & under $11; no passes.

As a reminder, filmgoers can park for free in Lot 73 and in the Institute's annex lot, and should enter CIA via nearby Entrance C. Click here<https://www.cia.edu/files/resources/18-19cinemap-parkingjune12.jpg> for a map.
