The Fine Arts Association announces auditions for

Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka

Music & Lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley
Adapted for the Stage by Leslie Bricusse and Timothy Allen McDonald
Based on the Book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl

Director: David Malinowski
Musical Director: David A. Thomas

Auditions – 5-minute timeslots
Monday & Tuesday, August 14 & 15, 2023 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Callbacks: Wed, August 17, 2023 – by invitation only

Rehearsals begin – October 2, 2023
Rehearsals will GENERALLY be Mondays thru Thursdays 6:00-10:00 p.m. & Sundays 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Production Dates –
November 24 – December 17, 2023
Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays & Sundays at 2:00 p.m.
Double Performance on Saturday, December 2, 2023 (2:00 pm & 7:30 pm)
Possible Double Performance on Saturday, November 25 & December 16 (2:00 pm & 7:30 pm)

- Appointment Required - 5 minute timeslots

 Audition Requirements:
- Come prepared with 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show.
- Bring sheet music in the proper key.
- An accompanist will play for all auditioners.
- Bring a detailed list of your conflicts beginning October 2, 2023. This includes any school activities/events, sports activities/events and classes that would cause a missed scheduled rehearsal. All cast members must be available for tech week (November 19-22)
- Please bring a headshot (school picture or snapshot will do).
- Résumés will be accepted (not required)
- Covid-19 Information: Currently, Fine Arts does not require masks.  

Casting Information:
- Needed:   Cast of approximately 35+
- All roles are available, 13 principal/featured roles plus ensemble
- All roles are open to the RIGHT person, regardless of age, gender, race, etc.
- Auditions are open to all actors ages 6 to adult
- No AEA contracts available for this production.
