Auditions for all youth in grades 1-12 will be held on:

*Tuesday, August 22, 6:00-8:30 PM AND Wednesday, August 23, 6:00 – 8:30
PM, *at *Notre Dame College,  1857 S. Green Road, South Euclid, OH 44121*

Please enter the Regina complex through the main glass doors near the
Regina Auditorium to sign in for auditions.

Callbacks will be held on Thursday, August 24, 6-9 PM by invitation only at
Notre Dame College.

If you are not called back, *please know that does not mean you are not
cast.*

Rehearsal will be held at:* Notre Dame College, * 1857 S. Green Road, South
Euclid, OH 44121 *and Lyndhurst Community of Faith Church* 5312 Mayfield
Rd, Cleveland, OH 44124

Performances will be held at:

Casting Information:  All roles are available. HYT is committed to
non-traditional casting.  Actors will be cast solely on the basis of
talent, except in cases where age, race or physical ability is essential to
a role.

*WHAT TO PREPARE:*

*Grades 1-5*

*Far from fools made of wax I'll get down to*

*   brass tacks and relax when I'm human again*

 *Grades 6-12*

1.     One selection in the style of the show up to a minute in length (ie-
one verse and one chorus).

2.     Accompanist provided *(no acapella singing*) Bring complete sheet
music.

Everyone please bring a *headshot or photo* (Resume optional) and fill out
the audition form found here <https://www.heightsyouththeatre.com/auditions>
, prior to coming to audition. Also, please list all conflicts on the
audition form or come prepared with your conflicts to complete a form at
auditions.

We will be looking for the following when you audition:

·        Listening skills and receptivity to feedback

·        Positive behavior

·        Ability to sing consistently on pitch and with expression

·        A solid sense of beat and rhythm

·        Overall preparation (knowledge of song and self-presentation)

Rehearsals will begin on *Monday, August 28, 6:00 PM. * Rehearsals will be
Monday - Friday, 5:30-8:30 pm. You will not be called every day, only when
you are needed to work. Please note - there may be some Saturday morning
rehearsals.

Attendance at ALL tech week rehearsals, *sitzprobe on October 8 with time
TBD *(where the orchestra and cast will play and sing through the show), as
well as all performances, is mandatory. Tech rehearsals begin on Friday,
October 6 , 2023 and runs through October 11, 2023.

Production Dates:

·        Thursday, October 12, 2023, 7 PM

·        Friday, October 13, 2023, 7 PM

·        Saturday, October 14, 2023,  2 & 7 PM

·        Sunday, October 15, 2023,  2 PM
