MTC to Hold Auditions for Sweeney Todd; The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

*Youngstown, Ohio* - The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is holding
auditions for Sweeney Todd; The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Auditions
will be held in the basement of The Hopewell Theatre in Youngstown (702
Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502) on August 17 from 6-9pm and August 19
from 12-3pm. Rehearsals are slated to begin on August 21 and run from 6-9pm
at The Hopewell Theatre. All actors will be required to be fully vaccinated
for COVID19, including the Omicron-specific booster, if eligible. Proof of
vaccination will be required before the first rehearsal. Additional

Auditioners (ages 16+) should prepare a 30-60 second cut of a song in the
style of the show. An accompanist and speaker will be provided. There will
also be a cold read from the script. All roles are open. Headshot and
resume are encouraged, but not required. Direction by Joe Asente with Music
Direction by Rosie Bresson and Cari Auth.

Todd, driven by a burning desire for justice and retribution. Joined by the
cunning and resourceful Mrs. Lovett, they embark on a chilling and
exhilarating journey of dark secrets, unexpected twists, and haunting
melodies that will leave you on the edge of your seat, craving for more!

Sweeney Todd will play October 20-22 and 27-29 at The Hopewell Theatre.
