Beck Center for the Arts Youth Theater, one of the oldest continuously running Youth Theaters in the country, will be holding auditions on September 16 & 17, 2023 for the first production of our 75th Season:
IT’S A MADHOUSE!
Written by Todd Wallinger
Directed by Russel Stich
Best-selling mystery author Byron Pembroke is dead. Soon after, his highly dysfunctional family gathers on a dark and stormy evening for the reading of the will. Each family member has their own reason to believe they’ll receive the estate, but the family soon finds out that instead of naming an heir, Byron condensed his fortune into one mysterious object and left it to... whoever finds it first! The mansion is overrun by a horde of strangers seeking shelter from the storm, and once the strangers find out about the hidden treasure, they soon join in the hunt.

*Please note: Youth Theater roles are only eligible to students who will be enrolled in our Fall 2023 semester. Actors do not need to be enrolled at the time of the auditions, however, participation in the actual production does require Beck Center enrollment in our Fall 2023 semester. Students do not need to be specifically enrolled in a Theater class at Beck Center to qualify. Students enrolled online and in person in the Theater, Dance, Music, Visual Arts, and/or Creative Arts Therapies Departments are equally eligible. Class sizes and offerings are limited at this time, so please register in advance if possible.
Bottom line: if you are accepting a role in the show, you will need to enroll prior to the start of rehearsals. Any questions, please feel free to contact Sarah Clare, Associate Director of Theater Education, at sclare at beckcenter.org.
