MTC to Hold Auditions for Cabaret!

Youngstown, Ohio - The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is holding
auditions for Cabaret. Auditions will be held at Hopewell Theatre in
Youngstown (702 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502) on November 16 from
6-9pm and August 18 from 12-3pm. Rehearsals are slated to begin on November
20 and run from 6-9pm at Hopewell Theatre. All actors will be required to
have received a COVID-19 shot within the last year. Proof of vaccination
will be required before the first rehearsal.

Auditioners (ages 16+) should prepare a 30-60 second cut of a song in the
style of the show. An accompanist and speaker will be provided. There will
also be a cold read from the script and a dance call. Please come dressed
to move with comfortable dance shoes. All roles are open. Headshot and
resume are encouraged, but not required. Directed by Joe Asente, Music
Direction by Tyler Stouffer, and Choreography by Danielle Mentzer.

Set in 1929–1930 Berlin during the twilight of the Jazz Age as the Nazis
rise to power, the musical focuses on the hedonistic nightlife at the seedy
Kit Kat Klub and revolves around American writer Clifford Bradshaw's
relations with English cabaret performer Sally Bowles.

Cabaret will play January 19-21 and 26-28 at The Hopewell Theatre, with a
possible extension of February 2-4. Additional information about the show
