[NEohioPAL] The Phantom of the Opera at CSU!

*ATTENTION* 

For the first time since 1992 Cleveland State Universities film and theater departments have come together to stage a production of Ken Hill’s 1976 musical The Phantom of The Opera. This production is a completely student produced and performed show that is serving as a thesis or capstone project for over 20 students from both programs. The production is directed by senior theater student Tyler Milicic and stars students and local actors Elizabeth Corpus as Christine, Katie Steim as Mr Richard, Dennis Bunch as Raoul, with Zak Tahsin as the Phantom.

Ken Hill’s phantom is a far cry from the romantic melodrama of the more famous Lloyd Webber musical. Hills version is instead a comedic parody of classic opera and 40s horror movies, think if “star kid” did a phantom of the opera. This production won’t be the most expensive or lavish production you’ve seen. Just some good, funny, classic theater.
