Karamu is hiring Teaching Artists for Spring 2024!

Novice Acting Instructor:
For BEGINNERS acting course that studies a deep understanding of historical and social justice connections in the work selected. This approach focuses on how we look at art and culture to move forward. This fundamentals course focuses on building your “acting toolkit” and allows you to develop a strong foundation in approaching theatre through the exploration of theatre games, improvisation tools, and history.


Days: Tuesday, Thursday

Dates: January 16- April 14, 2024

Time: 4:00-5:30 pm

In-Person: Karamu House 2355 East 89th Street, Cleveland, OH 44106

Showcase Date: April 12-14, 2024

Dance Teaching Artist:

For short-term after-school residency.  Dance TA will work with students, teaching fundamentals and choreography for final production.


Days:  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

Dates: Feb 1 - March 15, 2024

Time:  3:00 PM - 5:30 PM

In-Person:  Location within 8 miles from Karamu House

Culminating Event:  March 22, 2024 @ 1 PM, March 23, 2024 @ 1 PM + 6 PM
