Cleveland Public Theatre and Teatro Público de Cleveland present the highly anticipated World Premiere of Alter by Tania Benites. Alter is a horror/thriller-flavored dramedy which performed to sold-out houses when it was presented in CPT’s Test Flight 2023<https://www.cptonline.org/test-flight/>, an annual developmental program for writers of all levels.
About the Play
Maria is a customer service representative, working and failing in a fast-paced, highly competitive, and often ridiculous environment. Feeling the pressures from co-works and family to “never stop running” and to “be aggressive” Maria, a long-time self-help enthusiast discovers that the key to total transformation comes at a cost. ALTER explores the difficulties of being a quiet person in a loud world, toxic self-help culture, and the myth that you must always be leveling up to be successful. ALTER is a co-production with Teatro Público de Cleveland.

Ticket and Show Information
The play is performed on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and one Monday at 7:00pm, and two Sundays at 3:00pm in CPT’s intimate James Levin Theatre, located at 6415 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44102, in the heart of the Gordon Square Arts District.
