The Musical “Working”
at Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater

Based on Studs Terkel's best-selling book of interviews with American workers, “Working” paints a vivid portrait of the workers that the world so often takes for granted: the schoolteacher, the phone operator, the waitress, the millworker, the mason, and the housewife…just to name a few. Nominated for six Tony Awards in 1978, this classic has been updated for a modern age.

This is the Broadview Heights Spotlights’ Annual Coffee House production where there is a complimentary beverage bar (non-alcoholic) sponsored by Caruso’s Coffee. There are also luscious desserts available for purchase sponsored, in part, by Creekside Restaurant. The show runs through March 3rd: Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30, Sunday at 3:00. All shows will be held at Spotlights Theater, 9543 Broadview Road, Bldg. 22 (on the Broadview Heights city campus next to the Police Department). For tickets, visit the Spotlights’ website: www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org

The show features Calvin Adkins, Tim Anderson, Masario Atkins, Katie Atkinson, Abigail Collinsworth, Ray Conrad, Tara Corkery, Bill Cummins, Jessica Edwards, Eddie Gale, Katie Hinze, Clay Hoffner, Brian O. Jackson, Paul Josell, Victoria Kirgesener-Hunsicker, Lindsay MacLeod, Peggy Newton, Theresa Pedone, and Jennifer Rizzi. It is directed and music directed by Ryan Bergeron, choreographed by Theresa Pedone, and technically directed by Tim Anderson.

The show is adapted by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso with songs by Craig Carnelia, Micki Grant, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mary Rodgers, Susan Birkenhead, Stephen Schwartz, and James Taylor. The localized format is conceived by Daniel C. Levine for ACT of CT.

“Working” - Localized Version is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
