Camp!!*

Dear Parents and Families,

Prepare your child for an extraordinary summer experience at the Audio Arts
Academy, where the spotlight shines on voice acting and radio theatre! Our
program offers a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in
the captivating world of audio storytelling while working with professional
recording studio equipment.

During their summer away from traditional classrooms, students will not
only unleash their creativity but also engage in valuable learning
experiences. Our curriculum is designed to enhance ELA skills through
immersive activities, fostering a love for reading, writing, and
performing. Through the exploration of voice acting and radio theatre,
students will embark on a journey of discovery, learning, and
skill-building unlike any other.

*Session 1: Voice Acting & Audio Theatre*
June 10th - June 28th, 2024 | Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

*Class A: Vocal Dynamics: Voice Acting Fundamentals*
Unlock the power of the voice as your child, entering* 3rd - 6th grade*,
delves into the exciting world of voice acting! From creating vibrant
characters to mastering different accents, this class will ignite their
passion for storytelling and performance.

*Class B: CreakerBox: A Radio Theatre Program*
Step into the realm of suspense and mystery as your child, entering* 5th -
8th grade*, becomes a part of our thrilling radio theatre program,
CreakerBox! They'll collaborate with fellow campers to produce
spine-tingling audio dramas that will keep audiences on the edge of their
seats.

*Session 1 Showcase: June 29th, 1:00 pm*

*Session 2: Film Studies & Film-Based Radio Plays*
July 8th - July 26th, 2024 | Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

*Class A: Reel Insights: Exploring Film History*
Embark on a cinematic journey through time as your child, entering *6th -
9th grade*, explores the evolution of film! From silent classics to modern
masterpieces, they'll gain valuable insights into the art and history of
cinema through screenings, discussions, and interactive activities.

*Class B: Radio Remix: Cinema Transformed*
Experience the magic of old-time radio drama as your child, entering *6th -
9th grade*, transforms beloved films into captivating radio plays! They'll
learn the art of script adaptation, voice modulation, and sound effects
production, culminating in live performances that bring classic stories to
life in a whole new way.

*Session 2 Showcase: July 27th, 1:00 pm*

*Session 3: Improv & Audio Storytelling*
July 29th - August 16th, 2024 | Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

*Class A: Improv Playground: Painting with Spontaneity*
Ignite your child's creativity with our engaging improv workshop! They'll
learn the basics of improvisational acting, scene creation, and effective
collaboration while having a blast with fun exercises and games. For
students entering *3rd - 6th grade*.

*Class B: Audio Craft: Bringing Stories to Life*
Step into the world of audio storytelling as your child, entering *5th -
8th grade*, learns the art of voice acting and audio play production! From
emotive expression to character development, they'll bring their favorite
stories to life through the power of sound and imagination.

*Session 3 Showcase: August 17th, 1:00 pm*
