[NEohioPAL] Cain Park announces auditions for Madagascar Jr. will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 12pm-4pm.

We are so excited you are interested in participating in Cain Park’s summer
youth show, *Madagascar Jr.*! There is no participation fee for this
show! Auditions
are open to children finishing their 2nd grade – 8th grade school year.

Auditions will be held on Saturday April 20, 2024 from 12pm-4pm. We are not
assigning audition slots ahead of time, so just come on in! You will be
seen in the order you arrive and sign up on the sign-up sheet, which will
be provided at the door. For your audition, please prepare 16 bars of a
song in the style of the show. You will sing acapella (without
accompaniment!).

Please come to the Cleveland Heights Community Center at 1 Monticello Blvd,
Cleveland Heights, OH 44118.  The auditions will take place in the Senior
Center Multi Purpose Room.

It’s ok if you’re nervous or if this is your first audition! I always feel
better when I know what a director is looking for, so I thought it would
help you to know what I look for in an audition. I’m looking to see:

   - If you can sing your song on tune and on tempo
   - That you put a little emotion into what you’re singing
   - That you are a good fit for one of the characters we are looking to
   cast
   - Your personality!
   - Smile – this is fun!
   - And, finally, “Sing out, Louise!” aka projection, or how loudly you
   can sing
