Ohio Shakespeare Festival, located in Akron, seeks to fill non-union, paid backstage positions for MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and OTHELLO.
 
Seeking:
 
Stage Manager (weekly stipend)
Assistant Stage Manager (weekly stipend)
Crew/Costume Assistant (up to 2 per show, 1 stipend for each production)
 
Pay scale is related to your previous experience, your travel needs, and your availability (e.g. possible higher stipend for a Stage Manager who can commit to both shows, etc.). Please submit interest and details and we will be happy to provide you with stipend information.
 
No housing available for these positions at this time. Local hires only.
 
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
Performing: Outdoors at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens
Rehearsals begin: June 4 (Mondays off, Tuesdays-Sunday evenings, no more than 25 hours per week, with the possible exception of Tech week)
Performances: July 4 - July 21; Thursday-Sunday evenings
 
OTHELLO
Performing: Outdoors at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens
Rehearsals begin: July 6 (Mondays off, Tuesdays-Sunday evenings, no more than 25 hours per week, with the possible exception of Tech week)
Performances: August 1 - 18, Thursday-Sunday evenings
 
We cannot accept applicants with significant conflicts or tech/performance conflicts.
 
It is possible to participate in one show only, but if possible, we enjoy the consistency of folks who can join us for both summer shows. Please submit whether you are interested in one or both.
 
This is outdoor theatre.
