*The Plays: *
For our younger cast, *Simply Cinderella* runs about 20 minutes. The cast
includes 1 male, 6 females and 3 actors who can be either. This fast-paced
show is a cut-to-the chase re-telling of the classic fairy tale which will
leave you laughing. Directed by Richie Lynch.
For our older actors, *The Great American Talent Show *includes 12
characters who can be either female or male. The 40-minute show is a
wonderful parody of America’s Got Talent, in which 3 self-important judges
select a winner from a group of eager and unique contestants. The laughs
are BIG even if the talent is small. Directed by Greg Dziama.
Open auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
Simply Cinderella actors will be roughly 7 to 10 years old, and *The Great
American Talent Show* actors will be roughly 11 to 15. These ages are
flexible, however.
Rehearsals will run Mondays and Wednesdays for Talent Show, and Tuesdays
and Thursdays for Cinderella, times to be determined later, but generally
for 90 minutes between 4 and 6PM. There will be read-throughs and
preliminary costuming on May 22 and 23.
