REHEARSALS: Sunday and Thursday evenings from 7-10pm in August / September,
Monday - Wednesday evenings from 7-10pm in October.
AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD SUNDAY JUNE 30TH from 6:00pm - 10:00pm.

PREPARE: A vocal selection 32 bars in the style of the show. There will be
cold-readings from the script. A dance audition will be held at callbacks
at a later date if needed. Please bring the music in a binder and easily
able to read. An accompanist will be provided.
20 ROLES AVAILABLE FOR AGES 16 AND UP WITH ONE YOUNG MALE AGE 10 AND UP.
SYNOPSIS: Passions run high as leading lady Lilli Vanessi and her
ex-husband, actor/director Fred Graham, battle onstage and off in a
production of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. With romance, comedy,
sophistication, and behind-the-scenes high jinks, Kiss Me, Kate combines
the irreverent humor of four brilliant writers: Sam and Bella Spewack, Cole
Porter and William Shakespeare. Musical numbers include "So In Love,"
"Wunderbar," "Tom, Dick or Harry," "Too Darn Hot," "Brush Up Your
Shakespeare," "I Hate Men," "Always True to You (In My Fashion)" and
"Another Op'nin, Another Show."

1 - POPS / PADUA PRIEST - Stage doorman, part of male quartet for "Opening
Act One" & "Bianca", third male solo for "Cantiamo D'Amore"
2 - HATTIE - Lilli Vanessi's dresser. Sings "Another Openin' Another Show"
3 - PAUL - Fred Graham's dresser, specialty dancer & leader of solo trio
for "Too Darn Hot"
4 - RALPH / ENSEMBLE SINGER - Stage manager, ensemble in Padua.
5 - LOIS LANE / BIANCA MINOLA - *This role has been precast*.
6 - BILL CALHOUN / LUCENTIO - A Broadway hoofer, Lois' partner and a
chronic gambler.
7 - LILLI VANESSI / KATHARINE MINOLA - A star and screen actress, the
former wife of Fred Graham.
8 - DANCE CAPTAIN / GREGORY - Servant to Petruchio, ensemble dancer & Padua
recorder player.
9 - FRED GRAHAM / PETRUCHIO - Writer, Producer, Director, Actor and
Superman.
10 - HARRY TREVOR / BAPTISTA MINOLA - A veteran character actor and Father
to Katharine.
11 - STAGEHAND #1 /NATHANIEL - Part of male quartet for "Opening Act One" &
"Bianca", Padua mandolin player & 2nd male solo for "Cantiamo D'Amore".
12 - FIRST MAN / "AIDE" TO KATHARINE - Gunman enforcer & half the donkey
for "Finale Act Two".
13 - SECOND MAN / "AIDE TO KATHARINE - Gunman's Son & other half of the
donkey for "Finale Act Two".
14 - FLYNT / GREMIO - Motorcyclist, Aide to General Howell, First Suitor.
15 - RILEY / HORTENSIO - Motorcyclist, Aide to General Howell, Second
Suitor.
16 - STAGEHAND #2 / PHILIP - Part of Male Quartet for "Opening Act One" &
"Bianca", part of Vocal Trio for "Too Darn Hot" and half the donkey for "We
Open in Venice".
17 - STAGEHAND #3 / HABERDASHER - Part of Male Quartet for "Opening Act
One" & "Bianca" and part of Vocal Trio for "Too Darn Hot" and half the
donkey for "We Open in Venice".
18 - GENERAL HARRISON HOWELL - Career military officer, politician and
Lilli's "new" man.
19 - WARDROBE LADY / ENSEMBLE SINGER - Part of female quartet for "Bianca"
and opens the show in "Another Openin' Another Show".
20 - MAKEUP LADY / PADUA INN WAITRESS - Part of female quartet for "Bianca".
