Broadview Heights Spotlights TheaterPresents “Sense and Sensibility”
This show,by Kate Hamill, is a playful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel. It followsthe fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters—sensible Elinor and hypersensitiveMarianne—after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destituteand socially vulnerable. Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, with a freshfemale voice, the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and boldtheatricality. When reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?

Show datesare Fridays and Saturdays, August 16-31 at 7:30 PM, with a Sunday matinee onAugust 25th at 3:00 PM. Performances will take place at theBroadview Heights Spotlights Theater, 9543 Broadview Road, on the BroadviewCenter campus next to the Police Department. The show isdirected by Jena Gross and Kayleigh Joyce, with Technical Direction by DanielHunsicker. It is produced by Tim Anderson and features Abbey Marshall, KatieAtkinson, Linda Sekanic, Xaverie Baker, IreneMolnar, Elizabeth Flood, Joe Kenderes, Austin Vandegrift, Calvin Adkins,Masario Atkins, and Lisa Mortensen.
