Did you know that the Meisner Technique is a globally recognized acting
technique that is considered one of the foremost modern approaches to the
craft of acting? And we at Houde School of Acting have made it so you can
learn it in the comfort of your own home or in-person at our studio in
Cleveland!

Jessica Houde-Morris received her training under Robert Carnegie of
Playhouse West, who apprenticed under Meisner and Harold Clurman. Like the
Group Theater teachers, Jessica began as an actor. Then spent years as an
apprentice teacher at the feet of Mr. Carnegie and other experienced
instructors of this approach.

So, when you study at the Houde School of Acting, you’re learning from an
institution whose roots can be traced directly back to Meisner and the
Group Theater itself.

That’s a creative bloodline of only two degrees of separation!

In addition, the Meisner Technique will expand your skills as an actor by -

·        Teaching you how to listen to your scene partner and allow them to
affect you.

·        Teaching you to become confident enough to trust your own
instincts in a way that allows you to adapt to any given circumstance.

·        Teaching you to develop a greater sense of empathy, which will
help build an undeniable emotional truth that audiences will connect with.
