Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl's
James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this "masterpeach" of
a tale. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old
fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach,
rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James
befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of
fruit across the ocean, facing adventures and dangers along the way.
Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming book, this
adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is a favorite with
young performers.

**Students MUST LIST ALL conflicts with regular rehearsals on audition
form. Availability will be a consideration in casting. Absences from
rehearsals not previously disclosed will mean removal from parts of or the
entire show (except in cases of emergency or illness). There are NO
ABSENCES permitted during Mandatory Technical or Dress Rehearsals or
Performances.*

*Dance Audition (MANDATORY FOR ALL): Monday August 26 (5:30 - 7:30 PM) *
*Acting/Singing Group Auditions (*Pick 1 of 2): Tuesday, August 27 (5:30 -
7:30 PM) **OR** Wednesday, August 28 (5:30 pm - 7:30 PM)** *Students should
prepare a vocal selection from materials given and please familiarize
yourselves with the scenes attached. Memorization strongly encouraged but
not mandatory. Selections will be provided to pick from in audition packet*

*Cast List Posted *Wednesday Sept 4 at 3:30 PM via email *First rehearsal
5:30-7:30 that evening
*Rehearsals:* Monday & Wednesday evenings and Saturday morning/afternoons
from Sept 4 - November 16 (5:30-7:30 PM M/W and 11:30 AM-2 PM SA) **No
rehearsal Aug 31, Sept 2 or Oct 2, 12*
*Mandatory Technical/Dress Rehearsals:* Monday, November 18 - Thursday
November 21 (5:30  – 8:30 PM)

*Performances: Friday, November 22 at  7 PM, Saturday, November 23 at 2 PM
and 7 PM and Sunday, November 24 at 2 PM *Call time is an hour and half
prior to the show.
*Production Fee*: $165.00 ****Due to the nature of this show being a
musical the production fee is $165.00. This is due the first week of
rehearsals.*
