As voice actors, how will we compete against AI?  How will we compete against every other English-speaker on the planet who's been to told, "You have a nice voice," and "Voice acting is easy money?"

The answer will involve training, and work.  Work on the right things.  Not endless “practice" at mimicking sounds like a robot; work on understanding the client’s message, and feeling the human emotions behind it.

That's a very basic description of what we do in our expanded, 12-hour training course now called Foundations of Voice Acting.  Unlike previous classes, this one will be done through Zoom.  And we'll go beyond the performance aspect, into peripheral-but-important matters such as home studio setup, agents, demos, and the ins and outs of the pay-to-plays.

Emphasis is still on the "voice acting" part of voice acting.

The question before us is, How do we not only perform that script, but OWN it?

We'll meet virtually for 8 sessions of 90 minutes each, Thursday evenings starting at 7.  First class is September 5th. 

Cost is $750.  (Plus tax for Ohio residents.)

Your humble instructor has been a successful voice actor since 1989, heard nationally speaking for John Deere, Interactive Brokers, Roof Maxx and others.
