Twin Masks Performing Arts Center (TMPAC) is proud to announce the auditions for its upcoming production of The Revolutionists, written by Lauren Gunderson, and directed by Christina Courtenay.  

Audition dates are Sunday, August 18 and Monday, August 19. Both nights from 7pm-9pm. 

Production dates will be the first three weekends in November; November 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16, 2024.  Curtain at 8pm.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. All involved in the production are volunteer and not paid. 

TMPAC is located at 9076 Church Street, Suites 2 and 3 in Twinsburg.

THE PLOT AND CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
"The Revolutionists" by Lauren Gunderson is a vibrant, thought-provoking comedy set during the French Revolution's Reign of Terror. The play follows four powerful women—a playwright, an assassin, a former queen, and a Haitian rebel—who confront violence, political upheaval, and the struggle for justice while exploring the roles of art and activism in times of crisis.

Character Breakdown:

- Olympe de Gouges: A passionate playwright who uses her art to fight for justice and equality.

- Charlotte Corday: A determined young assassin on a mission to kill Jean-Paul Marat.

- Marie Antoinette: The extravagant, out-of-touch former queen, grappling with her legacy and downfall.

- Marianne Angelle: A fierce Haitian revolutionary who advocates for the abolition of slavery and the rights of her people.
