“LEGALLY BLONDE” AUDITION NOTICE

A fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde The Musical, follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances - this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!

Kent Trumbull Theatre is holding an open casting call for all roles for our November 2024 production of Legally Blonde The Musical.  Also looking for dance-specific artists for the show's dance team.  Ages 16+.

NOTES ON INTIMACY
Theatrical intimacy is defined as any action on stage where the circumstances of the scene or production calls for touch, either physical or imaginative, or moments between actors of simulated sexuality or sexual violence.  Kent Trumbull Theatre is dedicated to navigating these moments to incorporate safer practices and risk-aware decision making throughout the process.
All intimacy work will be rooted in consent and safety, will follow established protocols, and be used in service to the story.  Roles requiring comfort with intimacy, particularly kissing, are noted in character descriptions.
KEY DATES
The following are important dates from the rehearsal process.  We will attempt to work around conflicts.  All events will happen at Kent Trumbull Theatre (4314 Mahoning Ave NW, Warren OH 44483) unless otherwise noted.

Auditions:  August 21 & 22, 2024 from 6pm-8pm

Rehearsals:  M-Th 6pm-9pm beginning September 9, 2024.

Tech/Dress Rehearsals: November 3-6, 2024.
  *
Performance Dates:  November 7-10, 14-17

WHAT TO PREPARE
Please come prepared with a song from any musical theatre genre, with sheet music printed.  16-18 bars roughly.  No genre is preferred. Acapella or accompaniment from smartphone is not preferred.
Please come prepared to move and ready to execute the choreography audition sequence of roughly 2 to 4 counts of 8.  Dance sequence video will be available ahead of time.

Readings from Script will comprise the acting portion.  Sides will be available.
