[NEohioPAL] Beck's JOSEPH Auditions Sept. 29th and 30th~~~Appointments Being Taken Now

Beck Center For The Arts in Lakewood, OH is pleased to announce AUDITIONS
for its encore production of *JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT*.

*Open Call auditions will be held by appointment only on the following
dates and times:*

*Sunday, September 29th with slots between 5PM and 8PM available*
(Beck Main Bldg)
*Monday, September 30th with slots between 6PM and 9PM available*
(Beck's Music and Creative Arts Bldg)

Audition appointments can be made by calling the Beck Center Box Office
during regular business hours (after 12PM) at 216-521-2540

*Please prepare* one musical theatre selection no longer than 90 seconds.
Young
performers interested in the Youth Chorus may sing a shorter selection and
sing
a capella if desired. Adults should provide sheet music in their key. An
accompanist
will be provided.

*Production Dates* for this year's encore are Dec. 6th thru Jan. 5th. For
the most
part, the show performs Thursday thru Sunday. There are NO performances
Dec. 23rd thru Dec. 27th, allowing for out-of-town travel if desired.
*Rehearsals *will begin circa November 2nd.
*Call Backs* will occur the weekend of October 5/6.

Some cast members return from last year's nearly sold out production,
including
Tony Award Nominee Mary Bridget Davies as the Narrator and NYC Equity
performer Jimmy Helms as Pharaoh. The role of Joseph has also been cast,
and Jacob returns from last year as well.
There are Brothers/Wives/Youth Chorus roles available including features (ie
Potiphar) as well as understudies for The Narrator, Joseph, and Pharoah.

Adult Cast Age Range---16 thru 45
Youth Chorus Age Range---8 thru 15

*Special Note: Narrator understudy WILL perform for the final weekend of
the show.*

Casting is for Non-Equity performers only for this encore. All actors 18
years and older
receive a stipend for their participation.

Please also note....Video submissions are acceptable for the Open Call
auditions. Call
Backs ideally should be in person, though exceptions can be made. Out of
Town actors
submitting can not be housed by the theatre. Travel, however, can be
negotiated. Video
submissions are due no later than October 1st.
