[NEohioPAL] Seat of the Pants Season Opens with GRAND CONCOURSE!

Seat of the Pants is excited to kick off our '24-'25 season, OMEGA & ALPHA,
with the Ohio premiere of Heidi Schreck's GRAND CONCOURSE, running October
11-27 at Christ Episcopal Church in Shaker Heights.

Having dedicated her life to religious service as a nun, Shelley runs a
Bronx soup kitchen with unsentimental efficiency, but lately her heart’s
not quite in it. Her brisk nature masks an unsettling fear that her efforts
are meaningless. When Emma – an idealistic but confused college dropout –
arrives to volunteer, her reckless mix of generosity and self-involvement
pushes Shelley to the breaking point. With keen humor and startling
compassion, Heidi Schreck’s play navigates the mystery of faith, the limits
of forgiveness, and the pursuit of something resembling joy.

Directed by Craig Joseph, assistant directed by Natalie Sander Kern, and
produced by Michael Glavan, the production stars Rachel Gold, Zyrece
Montgomery, Jonathan Rodriguez, and George Roth. Kate Beckley stage
manages, with costume design by Mia Jones, sound design by Angie Hayes, and
props design by Lisa L. Wiley.

Tickets range from $20-$32 and are available at
grandconcoursesotp.eventbrite.com. We will mention though that, in keeping
with our tradition of site-specific performances, since this play takes
place in a soup kitchen, we'll be staging it in a commercial kitchen! That
means that *we've got 51 seats for each performance, so we recommend
booking early if you've got a specific night you'd like to attend. *
