The Conneaut Arts Center is hosting a one-day acting workshop taught by
award-winning Hollywood professionals Linda Phillips Palo and Paul Palo
with decades of experience producing, acting, and casting in Hollywood.
When: October 19th, 2024 • 10am-4:30pm
Where: Conneaut Arts Center 1025 Buffalo Street, Conneaut, OH 44030
(located in the smaller building out back known as the Annex)
Ages: 16+ (waivers required for minors)
What to expect:
• Experimenting with new possibilities
• Improvisation techniques
• Playing different roles and developing characters
• Practice reading from a script
• Relaxing and letting go
• Exercises for releasing tension
• Build confidence - tell a story
• General nuts and bolts of television and film work
• How to explore and prepare yourself for career possibilities
*Features a guest speaker (through Zoom)!* From Paul Palo: Pleased to have
our friend journeyman actor Jeff Zarinelli who will be our remote guest
speaker with credits including guest star roles on Chicago Fire, Chicago
PD, and a Netflix miniseries called Black Rabbit alongside Jude Law. Jeff
from Chicago will talk about following your dreams and facing your fears.

*Linda Phillips Palo C.S.A. (MA)* is a casting director and producer who
won the Artios, the highest casting honor for her work casting Sophia
Coppola’s The Virgin Suicides, Jeepers Creepers 2, and cult hit Ginger
Snaps. She has also worked as the casting director for Francis Ford Coppola
on his films The Rainmaker (Matt Damon, Danny DeVito, Jon Voight) and Jack
(Robin Williams, Diane Lane, Jennifer Lopez,) The Secret Garden, Heaven’s
Prisoners, Wind, over fifty feature films, and award-winning short films
and TV shows.
*Paul Palo *has joined wife Linda for the past few years as a producing and
casting partner working on several edgy independent films. Most recently as
Associate Producers and casting directors on Happiness Runs. Paul has an
extensive production background and was nominated for an Emmy for Aids the
Global Explosion, as well as four Telly awards for his documentary work In
Iraq, South Africa, and domestically, and a Parents Choice Award for
interactive “Voyage Through the Solar System.” Paul also worked on ABC’s
Castle as an actor for 7 seasons.
