Who’s Holiday Plays This Weekend Only For 3 Performances At Hopewell
Theatre!

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is proud to present
the area premiere of the adult holiday comedy WHO’S HOLIDAY at Hopewell
Theatre (702 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44512) for one weekend only!
Performances run Friday November 29 and Saturday November 30 at 7:30 pm and
Sunday December 1 at 2:00pm.

WHO’S HOLIDAY tells the story of Cindy Lou Who, 30 years after the events
of The Grinch. Cindy is now in exile from Whoville. A series of bad
decisions led her to destitution on Mt. Crumpit, then prison, and finally,
the trailer she resides in today. WHO’S HOLIDAY is a wildly funny and
heartfelt adults-only comedy, narrated entirely in rhyme by an adult Cindy,
as she recalls that Christmas Eve she first met the Grinch and the twisted
turn of events her life has now taken. Youngstown actress Brandy Johanntges
stars as Cindy Lou Who.

Director Joe Asente said that this production is a departure from what
people have seen before MTC and from the holiday season, “MTC has made a
name for itself over the years for producing large-scale musicals, and it
is definitely where we are most comfortable. It takes a lot for us to even
consider a play in our season. However, after seeing the New York version
of this production livestream online during the COVID-19 pandemic, I knew
that this was a show that our audiences would love, and we have been trying
to find the best way to fit it into our season ever since. When I met
Brandy Johanntges last season during Sweeney Todd, I knew straight away she
was the person to lead this show. She brings the perfect amount of
sweetness, spice, spunk, and spark to Cindy. She truly has risen to the
challenge of this one-woman production.”

Asente continued, “We all love the classics during the holidays, but I
think Youngstown audiences are also always looking to expand their
entertainment intake this time of year. With this zany, adults-only take on
a childhood classic, this production has just the right amount of nostalgia
to satisfy that fuzzy, warm Christmas part of your brain while still giving
audiences a chance to laugh and enjoy all the humor that comes along with
the season as well.”

The production is directed by Joe Asente and stars Brandy Johanntges.
