AUDITION NOTICE: “A Game’s Afoot”

A troop of actors is trapped in a house after a murder happens. Follow the
hilarious twists and turns as they try to figure out who-dun-it.

We will also accept video auditions at rovingroguecasting at gmail.com through
Friday, December 20, at 9:00 pm.

All auditionees are asked to prepare a 1-minute dramatic monologue or be
prepared to do a cold reading.

Rehearsals will start with a reading on Monday, January 6, 2025.

Details:

Roving Rogue Productions is looking to cast eight actors for their upcoming
production of “A Game’s Afoot.”

Rehearsals will start the week of January 6th and will be 2-3 times per
week, as needed and allowed by the production team’s schedule. All
rehearsals will be on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the occasional Wednesday,
as required and agreed upon by the team.

Actors will be asked to sign a contract and code of conduct.

Character List:

   -

   William Gillette (Male)- mischievous leader of the theater troupe. Loves
   his friends and mother and being extra in everything he does. There is a
   charming warmth about the man.
   -

   Martha Gillette (Female)- William’s mother. She has a maternal quality
   that shines through and loves that her little William has such a marvelous
   group about him. Cheery and doting.
   -

   Felix Geisel (Male)- William’s sidekick and best friend. Loud and
   boisterous at times, he will overthink things and let his anxiety and
   nerves take over in rough situations.
   -

   Madge Geisel (Female)- has been married to Felix for a while. A sense of
   comfort with him. Tolerates some of his playful shenanigans but will put
   him in his place when needed. A partner, not a damsel in distress.
   -

   Simon Bright (Male)- kindly young gentleman. Friendly but also keeps to
   himself when not being directly addressed.
   -

   Aggie Wheeler (Female)- a young starlet just getting started in the
   industry. Friendly and quiet. Has a larger, more powerful side that will be
   revealed towards the end.
   -

   Inspector (Gender Neutral)- Only in Act 2- a quirky officer was sent to
   investigate a house commotion.
   -

   Daria Chase (Female)- theater critic and unwanted guest. Very obnoxious
   and takes great delight in spreading gossip and sowing turmoil in the group.
