It's our next major stage production and first of 2025,  THE ELEPHANT MAN
at the Blue Macaroon Theater Company in Doylestown,  OH!

In 2024, we SOLD OUT 11 of 12 shows during our runs of CLARA’S JOURNEY TO
QUEEN,  STEEL MAGNOLIAS,  CHARLOTTE'S WEB,  & MISERY!  THE ELEPHANT MAN
will be directed by Madison Witte.

Auditions:
Friday January 10th @ 6:30pm-8pm
Saturday January 11th @ 1pm- 7:30pm

Performance Dates: March 21, 22, and 23rd

What to prepare:
Please prepare a 1 or 2 minute dramatic monologue of your choosing. Also be
prepared for a possible script read. Also if you have a headshot and resume
please bring them!

Please also have a list of conflicts.
Note: Only 5 conflict days will be accepted. Any questions you are welcome

SUMMARY
The Elephant Man is based on the life of John Merrick, who lived in London
during the latter part of the nineteenth century. A deformed young man –
the victim of rare skin and bone diseases – he becomes the star freak
attraction in traveling sideshows. Found abandoned and helpless, he is
admitted to London’s prestigious Whitechapel Hospital. Under the care of
celebrated young physician Frederick Treves, Merrick is introduced to
London society and slowly evolves from an object of pity to an urbane and
witty favorite of the aristocracy and literati, only to be denied his
ultimate dream – to become a man like any other.
