Join Us in Empowering the future storytellers of the world at Young
Filmmakers Academy!

Now in our ninth year, YFA is in need of volunteer board members who are
passionate about film and interested in nurturing the next generation of
creative talent? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals dedicated to
providing children and teens with the tools, resources, and opportunities
to explore the world of filmmaking.

As a board member, you will play a crucial role in shaping our mission,
guiding our programs, and helping us expand our reach to young filmmakers
in our community. Your experience, ideas, and connections can make a
significant impact on the lives of aspiring artists.

*Qualifications*:

• Passion for film and youth education
• Experience in nonprofit management, film production, education, or
related fields
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the arts

*Responsibilities*:

• Attend quarterly board meetings
• Contribute to strategic planning and fundraising efforts
• Promote our organization within the community • Support and mentor young
filmmakers through our programs

Academy is like no other program in Northeast Ohio.*

teamwork, YFA is dedicated to offering a safe, structured environment where
aspiring young artists can learn to express themselves, meet like-minded
friends, have fun and feel comfortable. *



*Through avenues like The renowned Summer Filmmaking Program, The 8 Week
Film School and various Focused Learning courses, our students learn the
ins and outs of screenwriting, cinematography, editing, digital effects,
set design and more under the guidance of experienced industry
