!! AUDITION NOTICE : PAID !!

Talespinner Children's Theatre
 *Winnie the Pooh* written by Zach Barr - World Premier
WHEN: 9/18 & 9/19 @ 6pm - 9pm
WHERE: 78th St Studios Suite 214
WHAT TO PREPARE: Please prepare a short retelling of your
favorite childhood story while using a prop that is outside of the object's
intended purpose. This can be done in a monologue from the performer's or
object's point of view, a conversation between the performer and said
object, or any other creative way you explore. Please bring a headshot and
resume with you.

Please email arhyan at talespinnercle.org to schedule your 10 minute audition
slot. Be sure to include your availability for BOTH days.

Virtual Submissions are also accepted. Please email them to
arhyan at talespinnercle.org with LAST NAME,FIRST NAME-WINNIE-AUDITION in the
subject line no later than 10pm 9/19. Be sure to also include a headshot
and resume.

We encourage actors of all backgrounds to apply.
Physical requirements: must be able to manipulate 1-2 puppets.

*In person callbacks will be scheduled the first week in October.*

*PERFORMANCE DATES 12/6-12/14 with possible added 4/17-19*
*** Please note that there is need for DAY TIME AVAILABILITY ON 12/12 ***

Roles:

The script is written with pronouns for each character as they appear in
A.A Miller’s book, this playwright has stated the following, “The decision
on the pronouns used by each character may be made by the actor playing the
part, and all pronouns across the play which refer to them may be adjusted
to fit that interpretation.”

   Winnie the Pooh: puppet, a forgetful and sometimes confused but loveable
   brown, furry bear
   -

   Piglet: puppet, a small animal that is cautious but gets excited
   -

   Rabbit: puppet, a wordy and self confident rabbit that is sometimes
   little judgemental
   -

   Eeyore: puppet, a thoughtful old grey donkey
   -

   Kanga: puppet, a kind and motherly, sometimes a little nervous
   -

   Baby Roo: puppet, a young, high energy kangaroo,
   -

   Christopher Robin: a young child, that often plays the role of patient
   leader


** Please note all roles will be played by adult actors 18+ **
