Talespinner Children’s Theatre Presents the World Premiere of
“Winnie-the-Pooh” December 6–14
Talespinner Children’s Theatre (TCT) is proud to present the world premiere
of Winnie-the-Pooh, a warm and imaginative new adaptation new adaptation by
playwright Zach Barr, running December 6–14, 2025 at their immersive
theatre space located at the 78th Street Studios 1305 W. 80th St, Ste 214,
Cleveland, OH 44102.
Rooted in A. A. Milne’s classic stories, this new stage production invites
families into the Hundred Acre Wood to join Christopher Robin, Rabbit,
Eeyore, Piglet, and the “silly old bear” called Winnie-the-Pooh on an
adventure to discover the North Pole. When newcomers Kanga and Roo arrive
in the Forest, Pooh and his friends find themselves navigating questions of
friendship, understanding, and what it means to welcome someone new.
Playwright Zach Barr shares, “A.A. Milne’s novel has delighted readers of
all ages for a century, and I hope my adaptation reflects its slow, warm
charms. I’m grateful to Talespinner for being the first company to bring
this new adaptation of the story to life, and in such a vibrant way.”
“This story is gentle, familiar, and full of heart,” says Sarah Durham,
Executive Director of TCT. “Families will recognize the humor and warmth of
these characters, while also discovering messages about kindness,
belonging, and community.”
Directed by Ananias Dixson, the production features colorful design,
expressive performances, and puppets created by TCT founder Alison
Garrigan. The creative team brings the beloved characters to life in a way
that is thoughtful, welcoming, and rooted in TCT’s mission to create
meaningful theatre for young audiences.
