Silver Lining Players next big production will be 'Over the River and 
Through the Woods' by Joe DiPietro. It will be directed by Mary Mahoney 
with assistant director Susan Rusinoff. Performances will be April 17 - 
26 (7pm on Fridays and Saturdays, 2pm on Sundays) at Makeshift Theater 
at the Coach House. Auditions will be held Saturday and Sunday, February

If you're not familiar with this play, Nick is a single, 
Italian-American guy from New Jersey. His parents retired and moved to 
Florida, but that doesn’t mean his family isn’t still in Jersey. In 
fact, he sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. 
This is routine until he has to tell them that he’s been offered a dream 
job. The job he’s been waiting for – marketing executive – would take 
him away from his beloved, but annoying, grandparents. He tells them. 
The news doesn’t sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep 
Nick around. How could he betray his family’s love to move to Seattle 
for a job, wonder his grandparents? Well, Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma 
do their level best, and that includes bringing to dinner the lovely – 
and single – Caitlin O’Hare as bait.

This is a heartwarming and hilarious comedy. We are seeking a cast of 
experienced actors aged 60 and over for the four grandparents. The roles 
of Nick and Caitlin will be played by actors in their 20s or 30s. Actors 
will receive a $100 stipend.

Auditions will consist of readings from the script including monologues 
and ensemble reading. Please bring a headshot and resume to the audition 
and let us know of any date conflicts and role preferences. If you want 
to audition but all slots are filled, show up early and we'll try to fit 
you in. Rehearsal dates Sundays through Thursdays at 6pm starting March 1.
