    *AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT: "Long After Crystal Night"*

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre (CVLT) is seeking a diverse cast for our 
upcoming production of*"Long After Crystal Night"*by John Herman Shaner, 
directed by Carol Jaffee Pribble.


      *SYNOPSIS*

Set in a Beverly Hills Jewish household in 1983, this compelling drama 
plunges a family into an emotionally charged weekend when their 
patriarch attends a community meeting in which members of the Jewish 
Defense League are requesting an opportunity to speak at his B’nai Brith 
lodge where they plan to encourage members to stage a protest at a Nazi 
rally scheduled to occur in their community.

With both humor and emotion, LONG AFTER CRYSTAL NIGHT challenges its 
characters to question the depth of their convictions and their personal 
courage in the face of difficult choices. This thought provoking play is 
a timely and timeless exploration of identity, courage, and the enduring 
human spirit.

      *CASTING REQUIREMENTS*

We are looking for volunteer actors for the following roles:

  * *7 Males:*Approximate ages 14, 21, 28, 45, 48, 55, and 80.
  * *2 Females:*Approximate ages 25 and 40.

/Note: Auditions will consist of readings from scenes in the play. These 
scenes will be available at the CVLT Box Office beginning March 1 for 
review./


      *PRODUCTION DATES*

  * *Rehearsals:*Begin in April (Sunday afternoons, Monday–Thursday
    evenings).
  * *Performance Run:*June 5 – 21, 2026.
  * *Showtimes:*Friday & Saturday at 7:30 PM; Sunday matinees (June 14 &
    21) at 2:00 PM.


      *ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITY: STAGE MANAGER*

The production team is also hiring a*Stage Manager*. This is a paid 
position ($500 stipend) requiring attendance at auditions and most 
rehearsals starting April 7. Interested candidates should contact Tom
