Andy McPhee’s 4-week Acting Bootcamp at Schoolyard Studio is an immersive, in-person training program designed for actors at all stages, as well as creatives looking to build confidence, presence, and communication skills.
Past mentees: Sydney Sweeney, Kodi Smit-Mcphee,Dylan Sprayberry, Taysha Hill, Joe Carbo- some of his mentees are now A-list award winners, others had never acted before training with Andy and now have professional IMDb credits and agents.

DURATION: Two weekends
COMMITMENT: 16 hours/week on Saturdays andSundays (8 hours 9am to 5pm)
DATES: Two Saturdays and Two Sundays April 18 – 19and April 25 – 26
PAYMENT: $450/per person
LIMITED TO 20 PEOPLE FOR AGES 16 AND UP
Cancellation/Refunds until April 1, 2026

A Boot Camp sounds like a blast! 🎉 Let's break itdown:
Value:
• For actors with experience: Refine techniques, gain confidence, and network with peers
• For new actors: Build foundational skills, get comfortable on camera, and jumpstart their journey
• For non-actors: Improve communication skills, boost confidence, and explore creativity
Strategies to incorporate all levels:
• Tiered exercises: Offer variations of exercises to suit each level, e.g., simple scene work for newbies, complex improvisations for experienced actors
• Small group work: Break into groups based on experience or goals, allowing for tailored guidance
• Mentorship: Pair experienced actors with newcomers for guidance and support
Flexible assignments: Offer choices or adjustments to accommodate different levels
Skills to teach:
• Improvisation
• Scene study
• Character development
• Communication and listening
• Confidence building
• Camera work and screen presence
• Feedback and self-reflection
Structure:
• Week 1: Foundations and icebreakers and Building blocks (scene work, character development)
• Week 2: Applying skills (improvisation, camera work)and Showcases and feedback (putting it all together)

• Keeping the atmosphere relaxed and fun
