A New Stage in Maple Heights, Ohio: Cornerstone Community Theatre Announces Official Launch
Maple Heights, Ohio — April 7, 2026 — A new cultural pillar is arriving in Maple Heights. Today, the Board of Directors is proud to announce the formation of Cornerstone Community Theatre (CCT), a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing high-quality, accessible performing arts to the local community.
Cornerstone Community Theatre was founded with a mission to provide a professional-grade platform for Urban storytelling and creative expression. Through the stage, CCT aims to foster local talent, engage the youth of Maple Heights and surrounding areas, and provide high-quality cultural experiences that resonate with our shared heritage and foundations. Led by a team of local artists and business leaders, CCT aims to fill a vital gap in the local arts scene by offering actors of all ages the opportunity to express themselves in a safe environment.
As part of its commitment to community accessibility, CCT is also proud to announce a series of free improv acting classes. These classes will be held at local libraries. These workshops are designed specifically for ages 16 and up, providing a fun, high-energy introduction to spontaneous performance and ensemble building in a welcoming environment. "We believe that theatre is the 'cornerstone' of a vibrant community," says Randall E. Hall, Executive Artist Director of CCT. "Our goal is not just to put on plays, but to create a space where neighbors can connect, create, and see their own stories reflected on stage."
CCT is currently entering its foundational fundraising phase, with an inaugural season of three productions planned for the 2026-2027 calendar year. Members of the community are invited to join the "Founding Members" circle to help secure the equipment, licensing, and venue space needed to bring the first curtain up.
