*Ensemble Theatre* continues its 46th season with


*IN OUR OWN WORDS Our Stories, Our Voices.  Episode 5!*A series Nicole
Sumlin (SumMedia Productions) along with Ensemble Executive Artistic
Director Celeste Cosentino started virtually during the pandemic, this
series focuses on *short plays that take on big themes, sharing the Black
experience with Cleveland audiences*. This year will be our 5th episode of
this series! *Episode 5 Includes: *

*MILK *by *Amira Danan*
Directed by* Andrea Belser *
Featuring: Ashley Aquilla (as Mama) & *Tamara French* (as Ayana)
Ayana was raised to a chorus of affirmations, but the world beyond her
mother’s rocking chair turns out to be less kind. In Amira Danan’s
ten-minute play, milk, a young Black girl growing up in a majority white
community struggles to find her place in a society that only merits blue
eyes and blonde hair.

Featuring: *Gabriel Cummings* (as Brother) & *Jasmin Nichelle* (as Sister)
A brother and sister say goodbye to their childhood home, but not the
memories that comfort them.
