Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Wadsworth Public Library continue Live at the Library with George Foley on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 2 pm at the Wadsworth Public Library, 132 Broad Street, Wadsworth, OH 44281.
Focusing on the 1920s, George Foley and the EEJ Trio will perform and tell us about stride piano, ragtime, and the roots of jazz music.
This program is free. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call 419-853-6016.
About the Musicians
George Foley started playing ragtime at the age of 13. He received most of his musical education at the Cleveland Music School Settlement, where he studied piano, theory, composition and jazz improvisation. He attended the College of Wooster, where he hosted a weekly ragtime radio show and played piano for the Wooster Jazz Ensemble. He was awarded the Charles V. Rychlik Composition Award by the Cleveland Music School Settlement for his “Chinatown Rag” in 1974. He released his first album “Cleveland Rag” on Century-Advent Records in 1977. It was re-issued on the Jazzology label in 1980.
Eric Everett (EEJ Trio) has four decades of drumming experience, studying privately at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory and performing in Case Western Reserve University’s small group Jazz and Big Band ensembles. Eric leads the “Firelands Trio” and “Elation” R&B band and performs as a sideman with the Cliff Habian Trio and George Foley Quartet.
