Is your dancer looking for more opportunities to perform all year long? This audition is open to all area dances ages 10-21.
 
City Ballet of Cleveland is a pre-professional dance company of the highest caliber in Northeast Ohio. We foster every dancer's ability and promote a love of dance through pre-professional training, performance, and community engagement.
 
Annual Audition for the 2026-2027 Season 
 
DATE: Sunday, April 19, 2026 TIME: 1:00pm-3:00pm
PLACE:  Cleveland City Dance, 13108 Shaker Square, Cleveland, OH 44120
 
The City Ballet of Cleveland (CBC) is a pre-professional 501C3 nonprofit offering an open 
audition to all serious dancers of ballet ages 10-21.  The Company presents annual performances in December and May as well as performances at local festivals, the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), area schools and institutions. All dancers must be a minimum of 10 years old by the beginning of September 2026 and currently studying ballet, and jazz or modern. Potential dancers do not have to be students at Cleveland City Dance.   Company dancers not studying with Cleveland City Dance will need their current dance school to sign off monthly to confirm you are taking the required dance training necessary to be a member with City Ballet of Cleveland.
 
All potential and current Company members must audition in the Spring prior to the upcoming season. There is a $30 non-refundable audition fee with application. You may pay the audition fee online https://cityballetofcleveland.org/donations/donation-form-2/ or via cash / check to City Ballet of Cleveland. The audition will be led by Courtney J. Laves-Mearini, Artistic and Executive Director. A mandatory parent meeting will follow the audition class from 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm. 
 
If unable to attend the audition one may submit a video link by Saturday, April 11, 2026. Email info at cityballetofcleveland.org mailto:info at cityballetofcleveland.org for video audition requirements.
